Judge John Clinton was elected to preside in Harris County Criminal Court-at-Law No. 4 in 2010.  He’s one of the hardest working judges at the courthouse and on track to handle close to 20,000 cases and more than 200 jury trials a term.
Margaret Stewart Harris

Elected November 2002, Judge Harris is currently the Co-Presiding Judge for the County Criminal Courts at Law, and serves on innovative committees designated to address challenges with the courthouse facilities and docket management.  Judge Harris has also served on a committee which created the mental health courts.

Jay Karahan
Judge, County Criminal Court No. 8
Judge Karahan was elected in November 2002, and was sworn in to office on January 1, 2003. He has been re-elected twice since then. Prior to being elected, Judge Karahan served as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, and opened his own private practice, Jay Karahan & Associates.
